The leak can push up the concrete foundational slabs, and that in itself can cause damage to the property. As for the kitchen sink? Taking a plunger to the toilet is perfectly OK, but we can\u2019t recommend using a drain snake, even if they are readily available at hardware stores. Improper usage can get the snake stuck, and then you\u2019ll have two problems.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, toilet clogs aren\u2019t always just due to a buildup of trash or paper. Your drain snaking efforts may be in vain if the source is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A problem with the flapper, the part that lets water flow from the tank to the toilet bowl.<\/li>\n<li>A clog deep in the drain line. far beyond where a drain snake can reach.<\/li>\n<li>A buildup of hard water in the toilet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Water Heater Leaks<\/h2>\n<p>A water heater leak is a huge issue and means you\u2019ll need to have your heater replaced as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t pick up that phone just yet\u2014some water around the base of your water heater doesn\u2019t automatically mean it\u2019s a leak. It could be due to a harmless issue like a loose pipe, or from the natural behavior of a temperature and pressure valve letting off some discharge.<\/p>\n<p>Inspect all the plumbing fittings for a source of the leak. If you can\u2019t find anything, it\u2019s possible that the water heater is leaking.
